Ever wondered what it’s like to be a professional music artist/performer in Hampton Roads? Some would say it’s an impossible task, trying to be a performer and make a living anywhere other than Broadway or Nashville…
But now is your chance to see how it’s done! Get a peek behind the curtain at Hampton Roads’ premier vocal group this summer, and get the experience of seeing a director, choreographer, music director, and costumer in action! For the first time ever, we are opening our doors for the dress rehearsals of our three new summer programs:
The Golden Oldies – Hits of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, all sung as the backdrop to the story of two crazy couples trying to find love as they grow old together through the 1960s.
Swing & Jazz – The story of a girl who moves from a small town to the big city during the era of Swing, Big Band and Jazz, this show will have you on your feet dancing!
Doorway Salutes – This USO tribute show takes you through the ages of America’s military might and shows you how music was instrumental both during times of war and peace.
This offer gives you a chance to see these shows before they are released to the public, and even be a part of the collaborative process, if you so desire! Each show is family-appropriate, but may be the most entertaining for ages 12 and up.
Seating for this exclusive offer is limited (only 40 seats per show), so act fast if you want to participate. If you are an educator bringing a school group and need extra seating, please contact us to let us know, because we may be able to accommodate you.
Each ticket is $10.00 (this does not include tax or credit card fees), and this gets you a front row seat to the 45-minute interactive show, as well as a 15-minute talkback at the end so that you can share your thoughts or ask any questions you have. For an educator or parent, this is an invaluable experience if you have kids who are thinking about making a living in the arts but don’t have the means or the will to move to a huge metropolitan area. Or maybe you are thinking about kicking off your own performing career, but don’t know where to start? Come unlock the secrets of the trade here with us, who have performed everywhere from Mt. All performances will take place at First Lutheran Church in Norfolk, 1301 Colley Avenue.
